testimonials
How long do the injections last?
The healing that takes place as a result of the treatment is permanent. For many conditions like tennis elbow and plantar fasciitis, one treatment series can be enough to heal the tissue and no further treatment is necessary. For chronic conditions like osteoarthritis, continued wear and tear will cause the joint to degrade again over time. For this reason, a maintenance injection is recommended every 6 to 12 months in these chronic cases.
Is the treatment painful?
Our expert providers here at Invigorate Health in Winter Garden, use a numbing agent so that the procedure is not painful. Increased soreness, from the injection and because of how the treatment works, is expected for a few days following the procedure.
How many treatments will I need?
The treatment is typically recommended as an initial series of 2-3 injections, spaced out one month apart. This is based on studies that have been done to maximize results. Following the initial series of 2-3, no further treatment may be necessary or a maintenance PRP injection may be recommended every 6 to 12 months, depending on what condition is being treated.
